All elements of the DotZ platform — including the brand name, logo, app design, user interface, source code, features, and the "Sense" product name — are owned by or licensed to DotZ and protected under applicable Indian and international intellectual property law.

User-Generated Content & Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create and upload to DotZ. DotZ does not claim ownership of your videos, images, audio, or other creative works.

By uploading content to DotZ, you grant DotZ a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

This license exists solely to operate and improve DotZ. DotZ will not license your content to third parties for commercial use unrelated to the platform without your explicit consent. You can revoke this license by deleting the relevant content or your account.

Copyright Infringement — DMCA & Indian Copyright Act

DotZ complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. If you believe content on DotZ infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown request.

How to submit a copyright takedown notice:

  1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line: "Copyright Infringement Notice"
  2. Identify the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (provide a link to the original or a description)
  3. Identify the infringing content on DotZ (provide the URL or username of the offending content)
  4. Include your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
  5. Include a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the rights holder
  6. Include a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf
  7. Sign the notice (electronic signature is accepted)

DotZ will respond to valid takedown notices within 10 business days and take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the infringing content.

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed due to a mistaken or wrongful copyright takedown, you may submit a counter-notification to [email protected] including:

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, DotZ will notify the original complainant. If no court action is initiated by the complainant within 10 business days, DotZ may restore the content at its discretion.

Section 05

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and applicable Indian law, DotZ will terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat copyright infringers. A user is considered a repeat infringer if they receive three or more substantiated copyright takedown notices within any 12-month period.

DotZ reserves the right to act against repeat infringers at any stage, including after a single egregious infringement.

Trademarks

DotZ and Sense are trademarks of DotZ. All rights reserved. Unauthorized use of these trademarks in commerce — including use in domain names, product names, or social media handles that may cause consumer confusion — is prohibited.
