Pulze ("we", "our", "us") is a short-form video and social discovery platform operated by Pulze, headquartered in Tamil Nadu, India. This Privacy Policy applies to the Pulze mobile application (Android and iOS) and the website at pulze.one.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data when you use Pulze:

We do not collect precise GPS location, financial information, or government identification numbers.

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used strictly for the following purposes:

• Providing, maintaining, and improving the Pulze platform and all its features
• Personalizing your content feed and discovery experience
• Enabling video sharing, comments, messaging, and social features
• Sending service notifications, account alerts, and security updates
• Detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud, abuse, spam, and policy violations
• Complying with legal obligations, court orders, and government requests
• Responding to user support inquiries and resolving disputes
• Measuring and analyzing platform performance and user engagement (in aggregate)

We do not use your data to serve third-party advertisements, nor do we build advertising profiles for third-party use.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR & Indian DPDP Act)

For users in the European Economic Area and regions covered by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process personal data on the following legal bases:

• Active accounts: Data is retained for the lifetime of your account
• After account deletion: Most personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of a confirmed deletion request
• Legal holds: Certain records (IP logs, device identifiers, abuse reports) may be retained for up to 90 days for fraud prevention and legal compliance
• Backup systems: Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 90 days

Children's Privacy

Pulze is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 years of age. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will:

• Immediately delete the child's account and all associated personal data
• Notify the parent or guardian if contact information is available
• Take appropriate steps to prevent re-registration

As a Pulze user, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete information in Settings → Edit Profile
• Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and personal data at pulze.one/delete-account
• Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to certain uses of your data (e.g., analytics) by adjusting Settings
• Withdraw Consent: Revoke permissions (camera, notifications, etc.) via your device Settings at any time
• Complaint: Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (India: MeitY; EU: applicable national DPA)

Data Security

Pulze implements industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256)
• Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only

• Incident response procedures for detecting and responding to data breaches

In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you and applicable authorities within 72 hours of becoming aware of the incident, in accordance with applicable law.
